We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2022, at the age of 84, Edward Allen Hammond of Bridgeport, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Evert Hammond and Zelma Hammond. He is survived by: his children, Craig Hammond, Terri Hammond Dotson (Michael) and Chad Hammond (Jennifer); his grandsons, Patrick and Sean (Donna); his great grandchildren, David Johnson (Lynn), Dean Johnson, Deborah Johnson Ruiz (Ray), Vicki and Greg Lacy; his brother Robert "Bob" (Donna); his nieces and nephews, David (Taryn), Gordan (Chas) and Rebecca Hammond Rhodebeck (Matt); and his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Grow Hammond. He is also survived by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Ed has requested that donations be made to Shepard's Corner food bank (19 Pennsylvania Ave., Bridgeport, WV 26330 or donation to the Bridgeport United Methodist Church (251 Worthington Dr., Bridgeport, WV 26330).
