He is survived by: his wife Cathy Messinger; his children, Cheryl Holcomb (Jerry), Patricia Hare (Charlie), Pam Barley, Brian Messinger (Lorie) and Jennifer Kimberling (Derik); his brother Virgil C Messinger; and his granddaughter Presley.
