He was predeceased by: his parents, James Watson and Lucy Watson; and his siblings, Donald, Golden "Jay", Clifford "Wetzel", Bennett Watson, Pearl Jean Clay and Jeraldine "Babo" Watson.

He is survived by: his sister Neva Maxine Adkins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.
