He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Oakley and Madeline Ella Thacker Simpson; and his brother Conley Lee Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Florence Simpson; his sons, Michael Simpson (Laura) of Sykesville and Alan Simpson of Strasburg; his grandchildren, Erin Fornwalt (Ben) of Stephens City, Amber Hard (Ethan) of Reisterstown, Riley Simpson of Reisterstown, Jonathan Simpson of Arnold and Jamie Simpson of Dayton, Ohio; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey Fornwalt of Stephens City and Brian Fornwalt of Stephens City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
