It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Adrain Phillips Sr. of Alderson, West Virginia, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Benjamin and Gladys Elizabeth Caraway Phillips; his wife Velva Leona Dixon Phillips; and his daughters, Debra Daye Phillips and Jenifer Dianne Phillips Carter.

He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Lea Phillips Lemons (Bill) of Lewisburg, Pamela Sue Phillips Ayers (John) of Alderson, Harold "Rusty" A. Phillips Jr. (Heather) of Alderson, Michael Steven Phillips (Angela) of Alderson and Joshua Carl Phillips (Amy) of Alderson. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirty four great-grandchildren, a slew of nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation All Covid-19 guidelines will be enforced along with social distancing.

“Condolences to Harold Phillips's loved ones. He was such a kind, gentleman and always so friendly when I'd see him. I first met him as a teacher of some of his children, but he continued to come to school functions and support grandchildren and great-grandchildren too. I'm sure he will be missed, but we can hope to spend eternity with him in heaven. Prayers for you all at this time. Sue Fleshman”
