He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Ole N. Schultz and Alvena E. Schultz (Johnson); and his brothers, Owen, Donald and Roger Schultz.

He is survived by: his wife Roberta "Jane" Schultz; his children, Peter Schultz (Emma) of Lake Geneva, WI and Kirstin Stieglitz (Brian) of Lombard, IL; his granddaughters, Abril Mecozzi, Salma Schultz and Madeline Stieglitz; and his great grandchildren, Jay and Jake Mecozzi.
