He is survived by: his wife Gladys Smith; and his children, Michael Pettis Rice, Gary Pettis (Debbie), Norman Pettis (Joanie Otterness), Della Indahl, Vickie Bangsberg (Mike), Brenda Smith and Bonnie Sweeny (Bob). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
