Steven J. Murdock Obituary
Steve Murdock, 55, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Steve was born in West Allis, WI on April 25, 1968. He was the loving husband of Julie (Carpenter) Murdock, and the very proud dad of Kyra and Sara. Survived by his brother Mike and sister-in-law Carrie and mother, Carol. He was the proud uncle to Mya, Maddie, and Callie. Preceded in death by his dad Jim Murdock.
Steve was an amazing dad and husband. He was a dedicated teacher and coach for over 30 years. He graduated from University of WI La Crosse in 1991 and earned a master's degree in education in 2007. He took his job as an educator seriously and gave it 100% every day. He was proud of all the kids he coached over the years in basketball, soccer, and golf but especially loved coaching his daughter Sara.
He was an avid reader, music lover and beer connoisseur. He had a love for travel and adventure. He was the star travel planner for our family. He loved mapping out our many trips.
Steve truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, watching soccer and quirky shows with his girls and Julie, socializing with friends and neighbors over a beer or whiskey and enjoying live music.
He was loved by many and will be missed dearly. As his daughter Kyra said, "thank you for fighting to the end, we will love and miss you forever.". Visitation will be on Friday, July 21, 2023 from Noon until the time of Memorial Service at 2 PM at the Funeral Home in Wauwatosa.
