He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty"; and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his children, Mark Braun (Kathie), Lori Maniaci (Steve) and Steven Braun (Holly); his grandchildren, Nicole (Mark), Ryan (Nicki), Elizabeth, Vincent, Stephanie Krellwitz (Chris), Kevin and Kirk; his great grandchildren, Ryker, Neveah, Avery and Zoe; his sibling Dennis (Carole); and his close friend Jacquie Dundon. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or the Honor Flight appreciated.
