Patricia L. Derse Obituary

(nee Wittak) Age 95 years. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin January 12, 1928 daughter of Henry and Josephine, "Jesse" (Cerny) Wittak. Born to eternal life Wednesday April 12, 2023, in Wauwatosa, WI at San Camillo. Preceded in death by husband Arthur J. Derse. Beloved mother of Arthur R. Derse (Deidre Martin), David P. (Barbara) Derse, Timothy J. Derse, and Mary JoAnne, "Mimi" (Thomas) Hayes. Dear grandmother of Joseph D. Derse, Jacob A. (Kathryn) Derse, Madeleine Hayes, Robert J. Hayes, Molly (Charles) Dixon, Genevieve Hayes (Rafael Freitas), Grace Hayes, and Thomas C. Hayes. Loving great grandmother of Harrison D. Derse, Charles A. Derse, William P. Derse, and Lola Grace Dixon. Sister of the late Marjorie R. Keller, the late Virginia (the late Edward) Laetsch, the late James (the late Bernardine, "Betty,") Wittak, and the late Henry Wittak, Jr. and. Sister-in-law of the late William (the late Isabelle) Derse, Rita (the late Robert) Riedl, and the late Paul (the late Maggie) Derse. Preceded in death by her friends Constance, "Connie" Leahy and Alice Surwillo. Further survived by loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at San Camillo, 10200 W. Bluemound Rd., Wauwatosa, WI 53226 from 1:00pm until the Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00pm. Private entombment at Resurrection Cemetery, Mequon, WI.

Patricia worked as an executive secretary at Schlitz Brewing Company before marrying and devoting her time to her family. She would later work with her husband at Derse Meter and Supply. She loved the time spent with family and friends, especially on Lake Mildred and on Riley's point. Patricia, along with her husband, Art, were longtime members of Christ King parish in Wauwatosa.

In lieu of flowers, she preferred that masses be said in her name at San Camillo.

The family wishes to thank the staff at San Camillo, including the chaplains and hospice nurses.
