Michael Jerome Mantey Obituary

Michael "Mike" Mantey, Brookfield (formerly of Wauwatosa), beloved son, husband, brother, father and grandfather, passed away tragically on the evening of Saturday, July 27th, 2024.

He was born May 15th, 1960, to Donald "Don" and Nancy Mantey. He graduated in 1978 from Wauwatosa East High School, and married Therese (Bunzel) in 1981. He worked for 42 years as a machinist for Spincraft, and was enjoying his well earned retirement, part time work and his numerous hobbies and talents.

He is survived by his wife, Therese, his five children: Melissa, Christine, Katherine, Michael and David, his son and daughter in law: Joe Fricano and Liz (Gebhardt), his ten grandchildren: Ashlyn, Vincent, Roman, Donovan, Lucas, Avalina, Jonathan, Frankie, Isabella and Anastasia, his mother Nancy, sister Lynn, among other extended family members.

Carried with his family are the memories of a man who always put his family first, had unparalleled drive and work ethic, and a true heart of gold. He will be immensely missed.

Visitation will take place: Friday, August 2nd from 5pm-8pm at Schmidt & Bartelt- 10121 W. North Ave, Wauwatosa WI 53226 and additional visitation starting at 9:30am followed by Mass at 11:30am on Saturday, August 3rd at St. Joseph's Catholic Congregation- 12130 W. Center Street, Wauwatosa WI 53222.
