Judith Reisetter Hart Obituary
Judith Reisetter Hart: Born September 26th, 1960, Passed July 30th, 2023, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
Judith is survived by her husband, Peter, and is survived by her children William & Emma Hart. She is also survived by her parents Charles and Leone Reisetter and brother Brian. She is survived by her loving sisters-in-law Peggy (Tony Reece), Jane (Andy Drewry) Mary Hart, and brothers-in-laws Tim (Nora Hart) & Terry (Carrie Hart), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Judy was a 1983 graduate of Luther College, and received a master's degree from Iowa State University in 1985. She was enrolled at the University of Wisconsin Madison in the PHD program in Educational Psychology but was unable to complete her dissertation due to helping write "Learning that Last" and having a wonderful baby.
Judy had a wonderful and rewarding career at Alverno College in Milwaukee Wisconsin where she started working in 1989. She most recently worked in the Research and Development Department and reaching the level of Director of Educational Outreach before she was retired in 2018.
Judy was one of the smartest and most loving people. Judy was beloved by her colleagues at Alverno and worked with some of the giants of Women's Education (Sisters Georgine Loacker & Austin Doherty).
Judy was a wonderful mother, wife, and sister. Judy loved animals, especially her cats. Judy was a very accomplished cook who loved to entertain and enjoy the banter of close friends, of which she had many. This included her lifelong friend Carol Tillman, whom she met at Luther College where they both were in the Tau Delta Gamma sorority. Judy loved the beach and was the most home there, specifically Fort Meyers Beach in Florida. Judy could talk to anyone and never talked down to people.
In the most recent years of her life, Judy displayed triumph and preservation amidst health issues. She was beloved by staff members at Froedtert Hospital (Transplant Intensive Care Unit and 4NW floor) and Elevate Care Waukegan. We extended our gratitude to all members of her care team who fought tirelessly in name of our Judy. We are forever indebted to those who helped care for her during extended stays. Through all hardships, Judy remained stoic, cheerful, and optimistic.
The family will be hosting a private memorial service.
