Joan P. Ziebert Obituary
Joan Philomena Ziebert (née Cerminara) passed away in her sleep on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife for 67 years of Gerald J. Ziebert (passed away in 2023). Loving mother of Kathryn (Gery) Carot, Peter, Paul, and Matthew, and the proud loving grandmother of Madeleine, Alexandra, Paul, Christopher, Nicholas, and Anna.
She was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on September 30, 1934 to Anthony and Anna Cerminara, Italian immigrants from Calabria. She graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry as a Dental Hygienist. She worked as a dental hygienist in her husband's dental practice for a short time before dedicating her life to her family. She was also involved in the Alverno Elementary School's Parents Association, and later enjoyed hosting dinners for foreign dental students of Marquette University Dental School where her husband taught. She will be remembered for being a loving wife and mother, and a very elegant, sociable lady.
Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Christ King Catholic Parish (2604 N. Swan Boulevard, Wauwatosa 53226) at 11:00 am. Visitation at the church from 10:00am to 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to the MACC Fund (https://maccfund.org).
