Henry Curt Kleppek Obituary
On May 22, 2023, at the age of 92, Hank returned home to our Lord. With his children by his side, he passed away peacefully, following a brave battle with Alzheimer's.
Hank was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Ruth of 63 years, daughter Kristin Lee, and parents Charles and Pauline Kleppek. Survived by his sons Kurt (Debbie) Kleppek, Karl (Lisa) Kleppek and by daughter Kay (Jeff Horne) and brother Alfred "Al". Hank was a proud "grampa" to Summer and Marty Kleppek (Karl), and Megan and William Horne (Kay).
With over 30 years of service, Hank retired from the U.S. Forest Service, was a Navy veteran with 9 years of service and was a graduate of the University of Michigan.
Hank enjoyed hunting, loved the Green Bay Packers and was fortunate to attend the 1997 Super Bowl in New Orleans. He was a member of nearly 50 years at Redemption Lutheran Church and was well known in the local swimming community as a long-time swimming official for age group & high school. His hobbies included golfing, gardening and bird watching.
Please join the family for a visitation on Tuesday, June 6th from 4 PM until 6 PM, followed by the funeral service at 6:00 PM at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home 10121 W. North Avenue, Wauwatosa. A Celebration of Life will follow.
