He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Markhardt and Lucille Markhardt (Schultz); and his former wife Mary Brunet. He is survived by: his brothers, Donald Markhardt (Pat) and Willard Markhardt (Ingrid); his daughters, Marlene Grahn (Mark), Heidi Markhardt and Sarah Markhardt; his grandchildren, Jason Grahn (Katie), Jacque Mehlberg (Rusty), Aimee Stanhope (Brandon), Heather Grahn, Hannah Adney (Andrew), Angela Grahn, Emily Moore (Jacob), Ethan Grahn, Karlie Grahn, Olivia Grahn, Preston Grahn, Mason Schlicht and Tanner Schlicht; and his nieces and nephews, Brad Markhardt (Annette), Keegan Markhardt (Heather), Sue Kamphuis and Kathy Mogensen (Todd). He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
