He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Bruins; and his brothers, Norman, Wilbert and Conrad Vande Streek. He is survived by: his children, Vicki Houdek (Marty), Paul Vande Streek (Sherri) and JanLee Knurr (Wayne); his grandchildren, Luke Houdek (Julia), Heath Houdek, Jenna Beardslee (Rob), Tyler Vande Streek (Cassandra), Derek Vande Streek (Kelsy), Katie Schlieve (Alex), Gretchen Knurr and Emily Knurr; and his sisters-in-law, Eleanore Kasten (Walter) and Nancy Vande Streek. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassion International, a Christian nonprofit that helps children in poverty with spiritual, educational and physical assistance.
