He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Hopp and Mildred Schouten Hopp; and his brothers, Elton Hopp and Orrin Hopp. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Hopp of Waupun; his son Dean Hopp of Waupun; his grandchildren, Logan Hopp and Mallory Uttech; his siblings, Larry Hopp (Karen), Jerry Hopp and Brenda Posthuma (Fred); and his siblings-in-law, Carol Hopp, Susan Hopp and Robert Kluge.
