He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Simon; his brother Don Bernards (Sis); his brother-in-law Robert Simon (Sue); his children, Sue Kennedy (Tim) of Minneapolis, Nancy Thompto (Dustin) of Madison, Kathi Busse (Ken) of Sun Prairie, Steve Bernards (Brenda) of Rhinelander, Dick Bernards (Vicky) of Waunakee and Tim Bernards of Phillips; his grandchildren, Kelly Linton (Steve), Robert Kennedy (Amy), Michelle Rohan (Aaron), Kathryn McMurray (Matthew), Matt Bernards and Brian Bernards (Kim); his great grandchildren, Katelyn, Jack Linton, Jaiden Romo, Madeline, A. J., Micah, Logan, Titus, Shiloh, Ayla Rohan, David and Rachel McMurray; and his nieces and nephews, Barb Snyder (Gary), Don Bernards Jr. (Deb), Jerry Bernards (Karen), Jeff Bernards (Penny), Peter Simon (Jenny), John Simon (Andrea) and Beth Heilmann (John).
