She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Straub and Evelyn Straub; her husband Nazario; and her sister Dorothy Rupp. She is survived by: her daughter Mercedes Ranum (Bill); her grandchildren, Tylor, Carly, Elly and Jordan; her daughter Marcelline Peterson (Dave); her grandchildren, Aria, Ella and Willa; her son Joseph (Laura); her grandchildren, Joey (Bri, Julianna) and Cooper; and her son Ricardo. She is also survived by mother, awesome and proud grandmother, caring nurse, and tireless Chicago Bear's fan who always had her door open for family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for distribution to local charities Marlaine held dear to her heart.
