He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Robertson (Slattery) and Harold Robertson; his wife Gwen; and his siblings, Penelope, Pat Rude, Joyce Conrad and Bruce.

He is survived by: his brother Jim Robertson; his children, Michael Robertson (Audrey) of Middleton, WI, Robert Robertson (Teresa) of De Forest, WI and Jacquelyn Nerat (Scott) of Waunakee, WI; his grandchildren, Sam Robertson (Ashley), Caitlin Robertson, Jillian Robertson, Kira Nerat, Faith Nerat and Natalie Nerat; and his friend Tom Golden.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to St John's Catholic Church in Waunakee, WI.
