She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bassler and Julia Bassler (Fahey); her husband Richard Shurbert; and her brother John Basssler. She is survived by: her children, Anne Voxman (Jim), Michael D'Onofrio (Deb), Steve D'Onofrio (Jeff Merrill), Julie D'Onofrio (Steve Moss) and John D'Onofrio (Diana Heisler); her grandchildren, Jimmy, Andrew, Elena, Erik, Annie, Mike, Bram and Eytan; and her sister Julie Hilgers (John). She is also survived by classmates, coworkers and friends.
