Merlin A. Holtz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merlin A. Holtz of Watertown, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Holtz and Amanda Holtz (Ruehlow); his former wife Sheila E. Holtz (Lenz); his sister Arlene Schmidt; his brothers-in-law, Ralph Schmidt, David Lenz, Leonard Lenz and Fred Albertz; his granddaughter Alyssa Kimble; and his great grandchild Stetson Ziarnik.
He is survived by: his wife Marion; his children, Sandy Christian (Scott), Dennis Holtz (Mary) and Donna Schleicher (Dan); his grandchildren, Justin Kimble (Nicholette), Natalie Heaton (Jesse), Zac Christian (Kate), Greg Christian (Abby), Josh Holtz (Kari), Allie Holtz (Joe Boyle), Eric Schleicher (Holly), Brian Schleicher (Trinity), Kendra Ziarnik (Andy) and Jonathon Schleicher; his stepchildren, Lynn Zautner (Jim), Lori Homann (Steve), Karen Mueller (Todd Haselau) and Mary Gaugert-Rinka (Pete Richter); and his stepgrandchildren, Caleb Zautner (Sami), Lauren Zautner (Ethan Thao), Andy Homann (Michelle), Nathan Homann (Lisa), Josh Mueller (Laura Bielinski), Tarah Mueller and Erika Mueller. He is also survived by four step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Merlin's honor may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or Rainbow Hospice.
