She was predeceased by: her parents, Thrond Jacobson and Inga Jacobson (Groppe); her husband Obed M. Braaten; her siblings, Oswald, Orlando, Tilmer, Edwin, Leonard, Norman Jacobson, Oletta Nelson and Agnes Theige; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Nelson, Howard Theige, Kermit, Norman, Myron Braaten, Wesley Erickson, George McDaniel, Robert Fredrick, Selmer Jacobson, Evelyn, Nellie Braaten, Rebecca Erickson, Naomi McDaniel, Deanna Gardner, Eunice, Marian and Verna Jacobson.
She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Ben Hoyum, Quinn Denstad and Sloane Siedel; her son Ole Braaten (Nancy) of Viroqua; her granddaughter Kari Hoyum (Chad); her great grandchildren, Jackson and Alex; her stepgrandchildren, Tyler Denstad (Joelle) of Los Angeles, CA, Jared Denstad of Caledonia, MN and Jenna Seidel (Sean); her siblings-in-law, Merrill Gardner of Onalaska, Phyllis Jacobson, Beverly Fredrick of Viroqua and Ruth Jacobson of Colby, WI.; and also, Quinn, Sloane, Trystin and Taelynn of Viroqua.
Due to Covid, private services will be held at the Franklin Lutheran Church in Folsom, WI.
