He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Doctor of Medicine; his wife Kate Statz; his sons, Bryan and Eric (Meena); his parents, Robert and Henrietta; his siblings, Diane Oleson (Keith) and Gary (Lisa); his nephews, Kirk, Dayne Oleson, Will and Alex Statz; his stepsons, Jesse Thill (Elizabeth) and Jared Thill (Jordan); his grandsons, Chance and Cooper Thill; and his sister Debbie.
In lieu flowers, the family requests donations be made in Richard's name to the Carbone Cancer Center in Madison.
