He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dechant and Teresa Dechant (Briggeman); his siblings, Paul, Ben, Carl, Harold Dechant and Leona Draeger; and his siblings-in-law, Virdianne, Gertrude, Pat and Bill Draeger.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Hemmersbach; his children, Ann Binder (Dick), Steven Dechant, Ellen Napstad (Tom), Carol Bjerke (Steve) and Kevin Dechant (Kim); and his brothers, Lawrence Dechant (Shirley), Donald Dechant (Ethel) and Lamont Dechant (Frances). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association in memory of Bob.
