He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Dishaw and Diane Dishaw (Mattioli); his stepdaughter Emily Dishaw; and his stepgrandson Noah. He is survived by: his wife Ronda Dishaw (Foster); his son Joseph Dishaw of Neenah, WI; his stepchildren, Brett Robus of Iowa and Alysia Bowers (Chuck) of Iowa; his siblings, Paul Dishaw (Vicki) of Ishpeming and Laura Lancour (Jeff) of Negaunee; and his grandchildren, Logan, Jordy Dishaw, Aidan Smith, Genevieve Tutor, Decklyn Hackett and Aurora Gonzales. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
