He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jane; his parents, Gifford "Gib" and Lucille; his grandparents, Charles, Florence Friedl, Lewis and Theresa Lobe; and his sister-in-law Jeanne Kavanagh.
He is survived by: his son Kurt of Tomah; his siblings, Joyce Cain (Bill) of Tomah, Mary Welch (Tom) of Tomah, Don Friedl (Donna) of Tomah and Carol Wagor (Mark) of West Bend; his sisters-in-law, Sally Krzmarzick (Tony) of Coon Rapids, MN, Barb Olson of Sparta and Alice Hagen (Steve) of Fort Myers, FL.; and his friend Jim Shea of Sparta. He is also survived by friends from his years in the National Guard as well as many other close relatives and friends.
