He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Kronlund and Elsie Kronlund (Medjo); and his cousins, Loren Nelson (Beulah), Lois I. Nelson and Kendall Nelson (Lois).

He is survived by:, Craig Nelson (Mary Jo), Mark Nelson (Laurie), Valerie Sommer (Fred), Tracy Maurer (Mike) and Michael Nelson (Candace).

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
