She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Emmel and Marjorie Emmel. She is survived by: her husband Herbert Hopen; her children, Tim Hopen (Kathy) of Anadarko Oklahoma and Rachel Gustafson (Bill) of Fontana Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Erika and Aren Gustafson; and also Paul Emmel of Minneapolis, Minnesota..
