He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Tetzlaff (Tomaselli); his parents, Frank O. Tetzlaff and Mary Diana Tetzlaff (Swift); and his brothers, Ward and Frank Tetzlaff (Bud).

He is survived by: his children, Karen Germann (late Robert), Janet Disch (Norman), Byron M. Tetzlaff (Sherri) and Peggy Smith (Kevin). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He built and donated several items to his church, plus a lectern for the chapel of the church.
