She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Schafer and Vera Schafer (Frahm); and her brother Allen. She is survived by: her husband Ray "Butch"; her children, Amber Knetter (Ken) of Edgar and Shawn Carl of Stratford; and her siblings, Reuben Schafer (Loretta), Ellen, Susan Kramer (Charles), John Schafer (Sandee), Linda Kalmon and David Schafer (Sophia). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren.
