He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Schmidt and Muriel Schmidt (Wagner); and his brothers, Robert and Duane Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Lehman of Stratford; his children, Laurie and Craig; his grandson Reid; his siblings, Karen Hayes (Tom) of Poynette, WI and Terry Schmidt (Kay) of St. Peters, MO; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Biskupski (Gil) of Reedsburg, WI and Kathy McFall (Tom) of Brighton, CO..
