Though Joan has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Raethke and Betty Raethke (Shannon); and her brother Ron Raethke. She is survived by: her husband Bruce Peterson; her sons, Bob (Leanna) of Owatonna, MN and Scott (Leslie) of Marshfield; her grandchildren, Nicholas and Hailey; her siblings, Roger Raethke of Pepin, Ralph Raethke (Tami) of Pepin and Joyce Stewart (John) of Stockholm; and her sister-in-law Tetsuko Raethke of Georgia. She is also survived by the nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Lund Mission Covenant Church (W10899 County Rd Cc, Stockholm, WI 54769). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
