He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex, Sr. Schulte and Margaret Schulte (Lauer); his siblings, Clarence (June), Maurice (Stella), Urban (Mary Helen), Leo, Rev. Oswald, Alex Jr. (Bernadeen), Eileen Rothstein (Ralph) and Peggy Jane; his nephew Paul Rothstein; and his niece Renee Schulte.
He is survived by: his brother James (Vickie) of Austin. He is also survived by 135 nieces and nephews plus in-laws, and grand nieces and nephews.
