He was predeceased by: his former wife Theresa Kaufmann (Tess); and his father Edward. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Niemczyk Tepp August; his children, Nancy Smith (Lewis), Rose Depoe (Steve), Joe Kunst (Debbie), Alan Kunst (Cathy), Julie Johnson and Tony Kunst Jr.; and his siblings, Marcie Taugtes, Vicki Wenke, Herman Kunst and Al Kunst. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
