He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward Zander and Bernice Amanda Zander Waech (Hubenthal); his wife Sylvia Zander; his cousin George "Buzzy" Schroeder; and his pet Bruno.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sara Zander of Ellison Bay and Katie Zander of Sister Bay; his cousin Gail Katutis; and his friends, Bill and Julie Erbach.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to the Young Eagles Program through Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) in Oshkosh.
