He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Oberstadt and Della Oberstadt (Pagel); his wife Dolores Moede; his parents-in-law, Herbert and Bertha Moede; his brother Allen Oberstadt (Marilyn); and his parents-in-law, Lorraine McNeish (Elroy), Donald and Ervin Moede.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki Oberstadt (Brian Eschenbauch), Wendy Oberstadt (Patrick Deprey), Daniel Oberstadt (Lori) and Amy Lewis (Dave); his grandchildren, Shelly Brasch (Corey), Chris Puffe, Tammy Thyssen (Tim), Eric Drath (Kim Buntin), Bradley Oberstadt (Kelly) and Brittany Oberstadt; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Taven, Troy Thyssen, Tanner, Kiersten, Cadence Drath, Jace and Myla Oberstadt; and his sister-in-law Maxine Moede.
Memorials will be directed to Wisconsin American Legion in John's name.
