He was predeceased by: his father Russell R. Ries; his sister Wendy Hafenbreadl; and his parents-in-law, Carolyn W. and Bruce M. Bertram. He is survived by: his wife Jayne Marie Bertram; his mother Carol F. Watson (Schultz); his stepfather Lyle E. Watson (Jayne Ries); his daughters, Abby Helminiak (Chris) and Kate Knapton (Tony); his grandchildren, Sloane, Miles, Hadley Helminiak, Josephine, Bennett and Ames Knapton; his sister Kristine Crnovrsanin (Jaymo); and his siblings-in-law, Erik Bertram (Maria) of Tomball, TX, Matt Hafenbreadl of Las Vegas, NV and Julie Mims of Winder, GA. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews as well as many close friends.
