He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clarence, Elsie Thiel, Harvey and Enda Roerdink; his niece Stacie Kanzelberger; and his nephew Brad Jeske.
He is survived by: his parent Wilburt Thiel; his wife Patty Thiel (Ott); his sons, Dylan and Alexander Thiel; his mother Dianne Thiel (Roerdink); his sisters, Barb Sunke (Greg) and Judy Mueller (Mike); his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Schultz and Debbie Ott; his nieces, Jennifer, Heather Wagner, Elizabeth DenDekker (Tony) and Emilee Schultz (Ben Bannier); and his nephew Benjamin Schultz.
