He was predeceased by: his father Leeland Carpenter; his former wife Marcella; and his brother-in-law Ron Jutila. He is survived by: his mother Naomi Carpenter (Pues); his wife Terrie Hansen; and his sisters, Karen Jutila, Sue Wichman (Rodney) and Sarah Spettel (Larry). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
