He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Copus and June Copus (Noyes); and his wife Elnora "Shelly" Copus. He is survived by: his children, Jake Copus (Heather), Yolanda Maly (Jason), Nicole Ewing (Ray), Roxie Copus, Brittany Copus and Fred Copus; and his siblings, Karen Thompson (Wayne), Willie Copus (Autumn), Ellen Monroe (Bryan Baumeister), Theresa Blake (Herb), John Coppernall (Clarissa) and Hilman Coppernall (Laurie). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 15 nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are suggested.
