He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer and Audrey; his wife Donna Holbus; his grandson Lance (Jacob "Slim" Meinert); and his siblings, Patricia Durik, Peter Meinert, Sue Lamb, David Meinert, Linda Baer and Debra Cairns.
He is survived by: his daughters, Michele Breheim, Sheryl Petersen and Krista Meinert; his grandchildren, Kristin Mills (Justin), Michael Breheim (Samery), Rachel Petersen (Bryon), Ryan Petersen (Kayla), Randi Meinert, Larson Meinert-Edquist and Mitchell Edquist; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Makayla and Samson; his sisters, Nancy Halbur and Diane Turner (Dean); and his in-laws, Barbara Governatori (Ray), Carol Meinert and Earl Morgan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Lunch will follow the Mass. Memorials to the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation have been suggested.
