He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Beier and Carole Beier (Fryday); his parents-in-law, Richard and Betty Vermeer (Zietlow); his brother-in-law Steven Vermeer; and his son-in-law Paul Borst.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Beier; his children, Russell Hershberger–Beier (Dan) and Stephanie Borst; his grandchildren, Michael Borst (Melissa), Zachary Beier (Lydia) and Avery Borst (Kenzie); his children, Hunter Hershberger (Shania) and Kaley Hershberger (Dylan); his great grandchildren, Carson Beier and Eleanor Hershberger; his siblings, Roger Beier (Jan), William Beier (Bonnie) and Shirley Zimmerman (Dave); and his sister-in-law Karen Parker-Vermeer.
