It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William J. Tierney of Portage, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 28, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Edward and Elizabeth Tierney (Jowett); his daughter-in-law Cindy Tierney; his siblings, Ned Tierney (Judy) and Sally Stanek (Bob); and his friend Mary Portzen.
He is survived by: his friend Portage; his wife Shirley; his children, Bill Tierney (Val Nehls), Tim Tierney (Cheryl) of Fair Play, SC and Terri Wilson (Mike) of Sacramento, CA; his grandchildren, Liz Calnin (Bryan), Adam Tierney (Chasity), Heather Carraway (Clay), Samantha Poole (Brad), Drew Wilson and Maggie Wilson; and his great grandchildren, Madalyn, Natalie, Lucas, Kennedy, Kyla, Cami, Liam, Luke, Piper and Griff. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other near relatives and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Portage Area Community Fund or St. Mary Catholic School in Portage.
