He was predeceased by: his parents, Anita and George; and his sister Gail Tardiff. He is survived by: his significant other Judith Anne Aye; his children, Chris Aye, Jennifer Burkhardt (Joe) and Julie Saieg (Jerry); his grandchildren, Jess, Jillian, Jake, Jenna, Addison and Julia; and his brother George Aye. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
