She was predeceased by: her parents, George Horton and Amy Horton (Topham). She is survived by: her husband Gary Herwig; her children, Cory J. Herwig (Mandi) of Portage and Kelly J. Herwig of Loves Park, Illinois; her grandsons, Ben Herwig (Tori) and Marcus Herwig; and her sister Phyllis Woll (Denny). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Portage.
