She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schimmel and Martha Schimmel (Berger). She is survived by: her close friends, Everett, Scott Shinstine, Christine Bonfig (Christopher), Mike and Bonnie Mulhern; and also, Finnley and Maya. She is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church or School in Portage.
