He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Patefield of Washington and Clara Larsen Patefield; his children, George R Patefield (Linda Allen) of Portage, Julie Patefield Halvorsen (Scott) of Aiken, SC and Lisa C Patefield (Holly Houston) of Fort Atkinson; his grandchild Katelin; his wife Patricia Lovesy Patefield of Briggsville; his son Jefferson; his grandchildren, Zane Patefield Halvorsen (Robyn Collignon) and Kate Patefield Halvorsen Villiers; and his great grandchildren, Bryn, Wilder and Zara.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Three Lakes (WI) Dog Park or the Humane Society of Jefferson (WI).
