He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Carl and Helen Carl (Bierman); his brother Richard Carl; and his sister-in-law Earnestine Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia M. "Cindy" Brown; his son Mark Carl; his grandchildren, Kennedy McMillan, Austin Carl, Alayna Carl and Ethan Carl; his son Patrick Carl; his grandchildren, Dominique and Daniel Carl; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Carl, Cheryl Arrowood, Paula Renee Brown and Monty Brown (Diane).
