He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence "Sammy" and Marie Bockhop (Schult); and his brothers-in-law, Paul Crase, Robert Crase, James Crase, Frank Jenkins, Jerry Avery, Allen Jenkins, Larry Jenkins, Greg Jenkins and Ronnie Jenkins.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Crase; his children, Alice Gilman (Joe), Roger Bockhop (Kathy), Julie Speth (Butch), Mary Bahr (Dale) and Lisa Thomas (Neal); his grandchildren, Katie Grooters (Travis), Dan Joestgen (Caitlin), Phylesia Kirkpatrick (Brandon), Jessica Schwoerer (Brian), Josh Bockhop, Olivia Krahn-Bockhop, Hannah (Matt Kuehn), Jake Haase, Jenny Geishert (Marcus), Tom Speth (Amanda), Reba Tranel (Jamie), Jon Bahr (Brea Brugger), Erik, Andrea Kieler (Jamie Madl), Troy (Suzy), Seth, Chad and Ryan Thomas; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Ella Grooters, Henry Joestgen, Bryce Bockhop, Kolton, Remi, Haisley Schwoerer, Barrett Geishert, Eli, Nora Tranel, Lloyd and Baby Thomas (Nov); his brother David Bockhop (Linda); and his siblings-in-law, Kitty Crase, Elaine Crase, Lynn Hoel (Sigmund), Bob Jenkins (Kathy) and Gary Jenkins (Laura). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
